Canberra is heating up, and we don't just mean the weather! There's so many fun events for families happening this week. Check them out below!
Drizzle Boy
Drizzle Boy is a moving play centred around an autistic boy who has struggled in a world that wants to change him. When he finally heads off to university, he meets Juliet, and his life takes a beautifully positive twist, where suddenly everything seems possible - even his dream of building a rocket and blasting off into space! Drizzle Boy was the smash-hit of Queensland Theatre’s 2023 Season, winner of the 2022-2023 Queensland Premier’s Drama Award, and the first time a neurodivergent character has been written by a neurodivergent playwright and portrayed by an actor with lived experience on the Australian main stage. Holy Family Primary School Fete
When it's spring, it can only mean one thing. Fetes galore! Head along to Holy Family Primary in Gowrie for their Christmas themed fete this weekend. Don't miss out on the ever-popular show rides and side show alley, face painting, hairspray, show bags, pony rides, cookie decorating, tombola, handmade crafts, a cake stall, kids' costumes, and second-hand books and toys, a live auction, a raffle (with the chance to win $3000 cash!), lots of delicious food, including Devonshire Tea, fairy floss, ice cream, kebabs, nachos and a good old BBQ. Get your swimmers out - the Canberra Aqua Park is returning to Canberra this weekend! Disney Trivia
Think you (or your kiddo) is the ultimate Disney fan? Head along to Reload Bar's Disney Trivia on Friday night to put your skills to the test. Year 3000 Party
If your teen is a little too keen to head out partying, the Vault is offering a completely legal underage warehouse party, and the best part? Peking Duk is headlining! Colour us impressed! Christmas Clay Play
Come and spend a tactile and exciting morning with clay! Children & adults will have the opportunity to explore the wonderful qualities of clay and can choose to build a small ceramic object which can be fired in the kiln and picked up at a later date. The theme of this clay play is centred around the handmade gift. Learn some simple techniques to create decorative hangings, letters and other small thoughtful items. This workshop is suitable for beginners or those with experience. All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Price includes 1 adult & 1 child (or just 1 adult). Extra children can be paid for on the day ($10). You will get to take your ceramic piece home with you (once it has been fired in the kiln). Find more information and book tickets here.

Day of the Dead Fiesta
Come down and celebrate Mexican Day of the Dead with us at The Harmonie German Club! Join Lucha Fantastica for a family-friendly fiesta featuring an Aztec Shaman welcoming you and doing a cleansing to get rid of the bad spirits, opening ceremony in Aztec language, traditional altar, festive piñatas and, of course, over 10 masked luchadores. Expect a show packed with acrobatics, action, and a pinch of comedy that'll keep the entire family entertained!
