Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse screening and panel discussion

If you've got a Spider-Man loving kid, head along to the National Film and Sound Archive's screening of the Academy Award winning Spider Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Stay after the film for a colourful panel discussion exploring the portrayal of spiders and science in the movie, and the role of comic art in storytelling. Find tickets here.

Mario Kart Live @ Smith's Alternative

Bring the joy of video games to life with Mario Kart Live. Play a game of Mario Kart while a live band plays the music. They'll respond to your every move - Get a star? Hear the music change! Make it to the final lap? Hear the band speed up! Head to the Smith's website for tickets.

Work, But This Time Like You Mean It @ The Courtyard Studio

Is there a teen in your life with a part-time job? They'll love this tongue-in-cheek work by Honor Webster-Mannison. Work, But This Time Like You Mean It is a darkly surreal comedy about young people’s first experiences in the workplace. It’s about having a good work ethic on less-than-minimum wage. It’s about perseverance when you just want to curl up under the counter and cry. It’s an unhinged, deep-fryer-dive into deeply human relationships, forged within the most alienating of circumstances. It's sure to reach the hearts of young and old (or anyone who's had to work on minimum wage in their life!). Get tickets here.

Work, But This Time Like You Mean It @ The Courtyard Studio - 20th - 29th September

Pixar Putt

It's baaaaaack! Pixar Putt is hitting Civic Square in time for the upcoming school holidays. This pop-up mini-golf sensation is made up of interactive putt-putt holes inspired by the stories, characters, and icons from some of Pixar’s most beloved films. Pixar Putt opens this week, so if you want to take the kids but don't want the school holiday crowds, be sure to get in there this week or next. And if you love the idea of some putt putt but would prefer not to take the kids (we don't blame you), head along to Pixar Putt after dark, open from the 3rd of October from 7pm. It'll feature all the same fun games, but with a pop-up bar. Be quick, get your tickets here.

Pixar Putt - Civic Square - 20th September - 18th October
