Peter and the Star Catcher

Googong Rural Fire Service Open Day

Join the Jerrabomberra Creek Rural Fire Brigade on Saturday 19 October 2024 for lots of free family fun. Climb the big red fire trucks, try the firies’ emergency gear on for size or have a go with the hoses under the watchful eye of the local brigade. There will be stalls from local sports groups, plus live music, lunch from The Meat Wizard, BZ Burgers, Slinko Potatoes, or Rotary Club sausage sizzle, and sweet treats from Cinnaglaze, Chameleon Ice Cream, Whisk and Flick Cupcakes and Cookies, and more. Hot Dog Festival

Yep, you read that right. Reload Bar & Games is holding a Hot Dog Festival, for lovers of sausages and sausage dogs. There's a range of exciting things on offer, including cutest Dachshund costume contest, awesome music, all you can eat hot dog challenge, hot dog trivia, sausage toss contest, lawn games, plus even more. Murrumbateman Field Days

The 45th Murrumbateman Field Days is happening this weekend - join in and be part of Yass Valley’s award winning family farming day out. This year there's a big lineup, including Hawkesbury Kelpie Working Dogs, Noah’s Racing Pigs, Telstra Tech Alley, camel rides, helicopter rides, snake demonstrations, drone displays, photo and art exhibition, children’s farmyard animals & petting zoo, pony rides, children’s amusements & rides, free face painting, kids tennis, live music & performances. Sunday Funday at Viking Park

Get ready for another year of a Sunday Funday at Viking Park! Head to Viking Park on Sunday 20 October from 10am - 2pm for a free fun day out for the whole family. There's prizes to be won, sausage sizzles, a jumping castle, plus Vikings Rugby and loads of local Tuggeranong teams will be showcasing a wide range of sports (including water polo, bowls, rowing, little athletics, social tennis, Taekwondo, gymnastics, calisthenics, and plenty more). PlayFEST

Come kick off Children's Week at ACT Playgroups Association's PlayFEST for 2024. Halloween Food Truck Alley & Markets

Are your kids super excited for Halloween? Get them in the spirit early this year, with the CBR Makers Markets Halloween Food Truck Alley & Markets on the 19th of October. Head to Thoroughbred Park for an afternoon of amazing food, local markets, face painting, and live music. Come dressed in your best Halloween costume - there will be prizes for the best dressed selected throughout the afternoon. Even better, this event is free (with free parking too!).
