If you're looking for a Canberra indoor play centre that's unlike any other, you need to visit Little Amigos!
Little Amigos is one of the best indoor play places in Canberra for kids. It contains a world of wonder, excitement and hours of entertainment for your little ones. It’s a comfortable space for babies through to adults, and the cafe is a really nice added bonus.
What is Little Amigos?
Little Amigos is a Canberra indoor play centre that is unlike any other in Canberra. It has a large range of activities where kids can use their imaginations, explore through play, and burn their energy.
How do I find Little Amigos in Canberra?
Little Amigos is located inside the Canberra Outlet. It is best to park in the free underground car park and enter via the food court entry (there is also a lift here for pram/wheelchair access).
What will I find at Little Amigos?
Little Amigos has a lot to offer little ones. Boasting its own indoor merry-go-round and train, this place has it all.
Before you get inside, though, it’s important to note that there are a few rules when entering Little Amigos. There are strictly no shoes for anyone - adults included. There are little cubby holes to leave your shoes near the front entrance. If you need to go to the toilet once you’re inside, there are adult-sized slides and kids-sized crocks in the corridor near the bathrooms. If you’re bringing in a pram, one of the staff will wipe the wheels down before you enter the play area. They take hygiene very seriously at this place, and it’s nice to know that once your kids are inside playing, they’re not likely to encounter any gross bottom-of-the-shoe kind of germs while they’re playing.
Once inside and you get past the magic of the merry-go-round and train, there’s a world of things for your kids to do. Front and centre is the giant ball pool, surrounded by slides, stairs to climb, and an interactive video game wall.
Further in, you’ll find these awesome highlights:
The Farm - where little ones can see hens (pretend, of course!), gather their eggs, harvest carrots and corn, and more.
The Little Chef’s Supermarket - kids can grab a trolley, fill it up with colourful groceries, take it to the checkout to get it swiped, and then head to the cooking stations to cook up a feast. This room is super fun, and importantly, helps kids learn some important life skills.
Pamper Parlour - which kids don’t like the occasional fancy dress? In the Pamper Parlour, they can choose from a range of dress ups, as well as apply (fake) makeup and do their hair. With plenty of mirrors and other props (like hairdryers), this room proves very popular.
Fire Truck - The fire truck and station will help little ones live out their firefighting dreams.
The Cave - not quite as dark and scary as it sounds, The Cave is a budding builder's dream. With trucks, diggers and other machinery, your little one can dig up and dump mini blocks until their heart's content.
There’s many more things for kids to do inside Little Amigos, including a Supa Slide, a dedicated baby’s room, lego, a pet vet station, and much more.
The whole family will enjoy the incredible cafe, too. With tasty breakfast items (smashed avo, bacon and egg roll and pancakes), tasty sides (wedges, chips and fruit salad), hearty mains (beef burger, chicken schnitzel, and their famous fish tacos), and of course a dedicated kids menu (nuggets, spaghetti bolognese and pizza). There’s also the usual hot and cold drink fare. All of the menu items are very reasonably priced, particularly the food. There’s plenty of tables and chairs, which are located right in the centre of the room, so that you can keep an eye on the kiddos while you’re enjoying your chai latte.
Compared to other play places, Little Amigos is larger, offers more range, and seems a lot cleaner. However, it is also more expensive (see price details below). There are one-hour, two-hour and all day session passes available, with passes on weekdays a little cheaper than weekends.
